Buenavista Mexican Restaurant in Cullman

First time eating here is really good. Good food and good service. Next time I'm in the area and looking for some good Mexican food I will be back.

Waitress didn't take time to listen to what you actually wanted...and our plates were hot but the cheese wasn't even melted.

Food was good not amazing. Had the shrimp enchiladas they were ok. Shrimp was good, tortilla was kind of dough-ish. Guacamole was ok. I've had better. Service was good.

We've been here a couple of times for lunch and been pleasantly surprised. You don't expect much just off an interstate exit but I'll have to admit, good mex, good prices, good service, huge portions and friendly servers. We will definitely be going back.Urban CowgillOctober 2019

My first time here.... Absolutely loved it. Food was very good, service was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Restrooms where amazingly clean and pleasant I will absolutely be visiting again. 👌😁💕

Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to. Extensive menu with lots of choices, including plenty of veggie options. Our server was friendly, attentive and efficient. The atmosphere is also super unique. Definitely different than most other Mexican places I've been. Worth stopping in if you're in the area and looking for a spot to eat.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is great. They got it out very quick.

I'm from Texas and can't beat our TexMex food. Atmosphere was good, and I like the Spanish music they play. Food was good. I like their rice as ne charro beans.

They have the best salsa dip you could put in your mouth and the best steak California Burrito you can put in your mouth

I love mexican food. The place is very clean and the food is so good. You get served very quickly and i have never been disappointed here. We always have really good service here. The only thing is sometimes the salsa is a little to watery and runny. Otherwise, perfect place to eat!

Placed a to-go-order and was told by the cashier she would bring it to me at the table where my daughter's were sitting and they never brought it so I went back to the window where you place your to go orders and it was just sitting there on the counter and the cashier said to me oh I was fixing to bring it to you. It was cold when I got home so no telling how long it has sat there.

Service was pretty good. The sweet tea was not! Not really impressed with the burrito or enchilada. The tamale was the best I had ever had...fresh, handmade in house! I'll definitely be back, just for the tamales!

Had a group of 28 & this place was absolutely amazing!! Our table was ready before we arrived, our waitress was excellent & the food was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

I ate at Buenavista last night with my parents. We ate early to avoid the dinner crowds. The restaurant was clean, and I love the decor. Service was quick and friendly (during a slow time). The chips and salsa were delicious. Our dinners were served quickly. We all enjoyed our food. We were in & out quickly. I will be back.

Love the new building and the food is just amazing. Better Mexican than California and its right on the border.

The food and service here are excellent! We have been here several times and are always satisfied with the food and atmosphere. The servers are very nice and take great care of us!

It was just okay. The salsa was pretty good. Kids meals were expensive at $5 each then $2 for their drinks. Chicken fajitas came with lots of chicken, very little onions. Enchilada meal did not include rice or beans. To add them would be an extra charge. Over all pretty tasty, but a little over priced.

This place was beautifully decorated. The food was very good, service was incredibly fast. Almost too fast . The first time I went the waitress brought me the check before dinner was even finished, never asked us if we wanted dessert and we were there to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday . But over all a nice place, would definitely go back.

Patient staff. Let is in last and did not hurry us. Good size portions.

Food was really great. Went on Cinco de Mayo and of course had to have Margaritas...... 🍹not the fault of the restaurant but it was Sunday so no alcohol could b sold. I'm sure General Ignacio Zaragoza is rolling over in his grave.🇮🇹 Still a great place to eat

Buenavista Mexican Restaurant in Cullman on I-65 what can we say from the time we walked in we were very very nicely greeted and seated promptly. We were impressed since it was Friday Night. From that point on we didn't wait 30 sec our waiter arrived with chips and salsa from another and he wanted to get our drinks. Even though busy as it was we had no wait time like many busy places. The atmosphere was enjoyable and very nicely decorated. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Fajita and my husband ordered Chicken and Rice which was delicious. The portions were plenty and we had to get a to go box cause we were stuffed. Finally we left impressed and will be back soon to enjoy some delicious Mexican Food. Thank you Buenavista Mexican Restaurant for providing a relaxing enjoyable dinner.

Such a beautiful atmosphere and the food is superb. The south west sauce is a little weird, but the shrimp salad was delicious!

Staff was very friendly from the time we entered until we left, the restaurant was clean, and they promptly brought us warm chips and a great-tasting salsa for dipping. We ordered: Mexican Lasagna -which was terribly soggy,tamales which had barely a strand of meat inside, and chicken fajitas which tasted burnt. We weren't offered sweet tea refills in spite of the high cost of the beverage. We will visit one more time in the future, however, just in case they were having a bad day.

Buenavista is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town, and there are a lot. While they aren't totally authentic, their food is still great. The only problem I have is that for the past year or so they must have changed their grilled chicken recipe because now it tastes like Lunchables chicken.

This place is great. Unique building decorations and grounds. 5 🌟 food prices and services. Recommended to all. If you're travelling Hwy 65 give em a try!!!!!!

Food and the atmosphere is great. Only problem is the food comes out WAY to fast. Asked the waitress to hold my order and I had the food within 5 minutes. When they bring you a 96oz. Beer you need a little time to drink it.

I enjoyed eating there. The Pollo Fundido was good and there was enough left to take home.

Don't be discouraged by a full parking lot; they have a lot of seating and are very fast. I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes even with a lot of people there. Love that everyone gets their own bowl for salsa(no more worries about double dipping). All the food tastes very authentic and it's a great value. Their sopapilla tastes exactly like a sopapilla should(rare in this area).

Comfortable atmosphere. Excellent burrito grande, huge portions. Waitresses were constantly on the go and always polite.I travel a lot and see mexican restaurants and this one is a five.

My first visit. It is conveniently located just off the interstate. Nice facilities, very well kept. Nice decor inside and out. I sat at the bar, Kait provided excellent service. Food was good

Best food in Cullman. If you are on the north end of Cullman on 157 check them out.

Food was bland. Plates scorching hit but food was mildly warm. I ordered borrito and enchiladas and it was the exact same taste for both. Just plain beef Skillet cooked with no seasoning. Will not go back

The food here is absolutely amazing everything was fresh, crisp and handmade nothing Frozen or store-bought. the environment is cozy and warm it was just really wonderful food. Our waitress Miriam who waited on us was absolutely wonderful. We will be back next year.

Ate here on two separate occasions and both times the food and service was exceptional. Not too spicy (Tex-Mex) good quantity and of course excellent quality! Loved the decor.

If you're looking for a good bite definitely consider this. Maybe it's because we were out hiking all day and tired and hungry but we came here on a recommendation from the people we were hiking with and it definitely did the job. I got the Burrito California and added shrimp to it with the steak and chorizo and it came smothered in white cheese sauce and red sauce and was almost as long as my arm and I ate every bit of it. Washed it down with an On the Rocks Margarita ( which is the best way to get it) I was informed by our waitress, and it was fantastic, didn't have that overly sweet taste that you get with other places. My girl said she liked hers but should of gotten something else. I'd definitely give this place another try
